Question Recalls/warranty.

I may be buying an older TT or motorhome. The TT would be older than 3 yrs, and the motorhome 10 yrs. I see a lot of posts on this and other RV sites and have questions.
I am looking for entry level in that if I like teh RV world, I may move up to a better/bigger/ well, you know. If I don't like it, getting back a reasonable investment returned.
For example, lets say it is a 4 yr old TT with a factory recall of , a leaking LPG stove because of an error in the factory or an externally manufactured stove. How would I know if the recall has been done/problem solved? I know better than to ask a commission-fed sales person.
Alo, many, many posts about the "defects in items and/or the installers and factory service sucks, Can I assume that the > 4 yr old unit has gone thru the repair in than time, by it's owner?
Also, there are many stories if unreliability of the Ford 10-cylinder engine. The articles state it will blow out sparkplugs, exhaust manifold bolts corroding which requires expensive mechanical work as they are in close quarters and very difficult to work on. Etc. Are these articles stating a lot of trouble or had few owners pounded their problems thru many websties stating the same?
I am handy around electronics and mechanical things, however, I am pushing 80.

Most owners come to realize service centers cost more time than biting the bullet and grabbing your tools.

That a 90 year old can easily be more competent than an RV tech.

That most people enjoy the feeling that comes from a DIY project.

I bring this up because recalls are typically something that involves safety or emissions related equipment. I use recalls as a guide so if it's expensive repair I can determine if it's worth doing myself.

I expect little from modern manufacturers. To be honest I would expect more from the author of a Ponzi scheme, because he is worrying about his reputation.

An example of what I'm talking about, currently one of our members has brought to light the " real" wood door front he discovered (technically correct! Cardboard comes from wood).

Your choice to buy used is solid. But anything newer than 2019 is a gamble.
