2002 Tiffin Allegro gas, no slides, about 31 foot length…
I had to remove the shower to repair some leaks and damage from the skylight. The shower pan is positioned on top of a 3/4” piece of plywood, with about 2x6 frame underneath. HOW in the world is one supposed to get access to hook up drain and tighten? The platform has a hole cut out for the drain but it’s not much bigger than the drain itself—nowhere near big enough to get my hand down into it. The platform frame is glued and stapled so it doesn’t offer a way to hinge out of the way—not even sure getting a hand back in that way could be done…🤪

Not sure how you coach is laid out, but in my Newmar there are two ways to access the shower drain. The bathroom floor is raise up one step and Newmar has installed a false vent on the vertical part of the raised area such that I can pull the vent cover off and get access to the p-trap. Additionally, on the underside of the coach, Newmar has a cutout directly under the p-trap and an aluminum plate covering the cut out. So if needed, I could remove the cover to access that plumbing. Perhaps you have one or both of these accesses. Can you make a cutout and put a cover over it when your done?

Thanks for that good info! My shower is too, raised, about the height of a 2x6 on edge. The “platform” the pan rests on has no removable pieces of the height framing, but like yours, I’m thinking I’ll cut out a piece and possibly make it where it can be reattached afterwards. It needs a little more framing anyway I think, as it can move a little too much for my liking, which can put pressure on the pipe joints. No access panel underneath and on this one I think it would be a pain to add. But sure would be nice access LOL.

Last night I was able to come up with a solution—sort of. I believe when all is done, the pan will have a 1 1/2” pipe piece that will slide into the entry of the Ptrap. I won’t be able to twist it after gluing but I don’t think that will be an issue since no pressure. However, the stumbling block now is, the receiving end of the trap is about 1/4” or so out of alignment and the connecting piece between pan and trap will be approx. 3-4” max. I’m wondering if a “bellows” section might give me a little room to line it all up…hmmmm…
