What lights your replacing? You have pics, numbers off the old lights? In order to cut down on power use, I'd like to use LEDs in my 2007 camper instead of the existing lights. I have not been able to find any LEDs that work. ANy tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Not house-type LEDs, but the small bulbs, about 1in long, that are used in the lighting units on the ceiling.Assuming you want house lights
Here's a picture of one of the bulbs. I'll take a picture of the socket/fixture next time I'm out there. It sounds like some kind of conversion kit would work, if I can find it.What lights your replacing? You have pics, numbers off the old lights?
Lookup T10 led bulbs. AmazonHere's a picture of one of the bulbs. I'll take a picture of the socket/fixture next time I'm out there. It sounds like some kind of conversion kit would work, if I can find it.
And use the lights that have DC to DC converters. They don't dim as the battery looses charge.Lookup T10 led bulbs. Amazon
Search T5, T10 or 921 LED 12v lights on Amazon and you'll find what you want. No need to change the light fixtures, these are a direct fit replacementHere's a picture of one of the bulbs. Two ways to take that statement! I took the most radical of those two ways!!!Keep in mind that many of the newer LED fixtures will have to be completely replaced when the lights go out.
I had no interest in replacing all the little lights inside my daughter's truck camper (so many lights in such a little space!) and we were on a deadline for leaving on a long trip. So they are still the original RV light housings with LED bulbs. Also replaced all the dim outside bulbs with LEDs.Two ways to take that statement! I took the most radical of those two ways!!!![]()

I prefer the "warm" LEDs. Nice that they have managed to get rid of the flicker some used to have. LEDs used to give me bad headaches.
My bus has never had an RV light in it. All residential lights running on dedicated inverters. Until my inverters filled with dust during two back to back day long dust storms (I hate the desert). Now they run off straight AC. Currently the only 12vDC "RV" thing I have is the marine water pump. I turned off the 12vDC grey water macerator and replumbed the grey water because I got tired of cleaning long hair out of the macerator.
