I am needing to replace the taillight bulb in the red housing (thankfully not brake light) on the passenger side of our 2003 DSDP 3803. When unscrewing the four screws, I noticed that the housing had been cracked once before along the side. I was having a very difficult time removing the lens from the housing (I am guessing that’s the cause of the previous crack). It appears that the lens is “stuck” to a black sealant material along the perimeter of the housing…and this sticky is strong…and stuck. Lol
A couple of questions:
1. Is there a clamp or some other “catch” that I am missing?
2. Is the gasket (assumed to make it waterproof) subject to breaking down and “glueing” the lens to the housing?
3. Is there a better way…I’m open to any suggestions.
Thanks in advance for your kind and helpful responses.
