Road Question

After yesterday my wife really wants to leave Arizona......... We went to wally world and I was waiting for her in my truck. Long story short, some idiot put his cart behind my truck. The cart rack was two spots on one side, my truck was 1 3/4 spots (curb and landscaping) on the other side. I saw him leave it and I got out of the truck and said something to him. I grabbed his cart and put it in the rack. There were some words thrown back and forth, but nothing serious, or so I though. I went to get in the truck and he came running up behind me and trapped me by the open door. I keep a stick under the seat for my high idle when needed. I grabbed it and turned around to be met by his right fist to the side of my head. He got a couple of hits in and I got a couple of hits with my stick. After dealing with cops we went back to the trailer and I found out I was missing a hearing aid! I can't hear out of that ear so I didn't think about it. We went back to the parking lot and I found it INTACT, but on the way I started seeing double and my upper lip went numb. Off to the ER....... Was seen and given a CT scan. Sure enough, broken bones around my eye and into the sinus cavity with one hell of a shiner. Believe it or not, one person pulled him off me, another had his picture, and another had a picture of the car and license plate plus another three gave statements to the cops backing my side. One cop saw the picture of him and said he looks 'familiar'.........I'm supposed to go see a specialist in Mesa, AZ, but we can't seem to get a hold of him. Now to see what the cops are planning on doing. The picture was me in the ER.

WOW! I'm sorry for what happened to you and hope there are no lasting after-effects. Sadly, there are some bad folks around everywhere; its not just Arizona. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I hope I have a speedy recovery too!! I was referred to a surgeon for consultation, but that particular surgeon doesn't take Medicare. I would have to pay for everything out of pocket. Another hurdle is my wife won't drive our dually pickup and there would be some city driving that would be required if I had surgery......... I hope the cops nail his ass to the wall with felony assault..........

Just a bit of an update..... As of yesterday (eight days after the incident) I still have not found a doctor to get a follow up visit (all had some excuse like insurance, only did oral surgery, etc.) with and the local Police have hot even identified the other guy! My disappointment level is overflowing........
