Hi...new here (see my intro post). Have had my 23 Mallard less than a year and was on the roof inspecting and found what appeared to be bubbles in the factory applied lap sealant. I'm not aware of any leaking yet but found this disturbing. About 7 dime sized bubbles no screw heads underneath. I talked to the service center and the first question asked was am I familiar with using a caulk gun. Sheesh. Found out the roof warranty is only three months, hardly time for it to get rained on. So I bought some dicor and got up there. Trimmed away around the bubbles and dried (yes some were wet underneath) and resealed. I wonder if others have found this problem? Oh and yes I'm familiar with a caulk gun lol.

A good find and fix for sure. I let our roof suffer and paid the price a few years ago. I am happy to have the lifetime roof now from Flexarmor but not at the $9grand it cost me.
Always do your due diligence on roof sealing.
It really is a shame that the quality of production is so lax on our RV's. :(

Thank you. It occurred to me that I get a reminder to inspect my roof every 90 days from Heartland but my roof is only warranted for 90 days....from purchase. So not sure how long it's been sitting in the sun (a year?) Before purchase but if I was diligent and inspected on the 90 day mark my warranty just expired.

I would and do just as you have. Get the roof and inspect 3-4 times a year. Also, wash your roof once a year. Use a cleaner that has the correct protectant for your roof material, TPO, EPDM or fiberglass. I have a fiberglass roof so I use a quality automotive wash containing wax. Do not use Dawn since it is too good at stripping all protectants off. A little Plexus or CRC 303 on the plastic bits, e.g. skylight, will not hurt.

Also for those with fiberglass roofs, Dicor is probably the wrong product. I use Nuflex 311, aka Heng's self leveling silicone. This is used on Winnebago and Tiffin. Dicor will peel right off of existing Nuflex.

BTW: Dealer warranties are worthless. Next time, get a NRVIA certified inspection prior to paying.
