My first inclination was not to run it. Safety first, but I wanted to double check. It's bad etiquette! That said I saw a portable catch fire while we were in our neighbors rv one day. Had we not seen the light and investigated, the tree he had it chained to would likely have started the forest on fire.
It's not just the noise! The fumes are just as objectionable. Is this in your coach or a stand alone unit from a big box store? I would imagine a four pole (low speed) Onan or similar installed in the coach with lots of insulation, safety protection and a substantial muffler would be better received than a chinesium screamer for hours at a time.
It’s an Onan 5500 in the RV. Pretty quiet. The Rv parks (12 of them) are at Talladega Raceway. It’s going to be noisy and mostly by the fans more then the generators. Some have quiet time starting at midnight to 6am, but most do not. I recognize it will be noisy and will accept that as part of the experience for couple days. I have excellent ear plugs for the race and sleep if need be.Is this in your coach or a stand alone unit from a big box store?
