I am taking my wife and 11 year old son camping and looking for a spot in the Smokies where I can take a 31' RV that I rented. As a kid we camped in the Rockies and you could just pull in anywhere to camp. Not sure if that is allowed now. I just don't know where to begin and don't want to head that way not knowing where to go. Any help would be appreciated!

There are many places near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. But this time of year it might be tough to get in. Leaf peepers, and people pouring South to escape the cold are flooding everything on the I-75 corridor. Most likely the same on the East side of the Smokies.
