I have had an RV garage since I had my first RV. I’ve found that keeping it at home, under cover, with full hookups really makes life easier. Returning from short trips or long trips, having a place to just park and leave everything ready for the next trip makes life a lot easier.

My parents recently retired and bought an RV. They asked me to build them an RV garage. When I started the planning my oldest son asked for one too.

Here is a photo of the foundation for my sons RV garage.

My parents rv garage was erected about 3 months earlier. We just finished insulation, electric, and water. For water we put a well in, which will also supply water to the house.

Very nice...in Santa Barbara County the permits alone would be 5-6 figures. My neighbor just completed a 30x50 and one of the many conditions was the inside be sprinkled (yup...metal building). Hopefully in your neck of the woods municipalities are manned with sensible souls 😊 Blessings

I am almost embarrassed to respond.

We are within city limits.
We have no permits. No inspection. No zoning. No restrictions.

I bought a large chunk of land and am currently developing it with 2 acre homesites.

The most difficult part of this was getting water, as we tried to work with the local coop before deciding that their fees where too much. They wanted $25k per site just to have the right to water.

After factoring in the cost of additional infrastructure we decided to just drill wells for each site.

We have 10Gb internet fibre and gated entry.

This land borders property that we are building a RV Resort on. The resort will have pads with 40x60 garages.

The two I built so far are 30x60 for my parents and 60x60 for my son. His is going to have a living quarters inside until he builds a house in the future.
