Left Provo/Springville KOA this morning headed west to Bend, OR via I-80. The drive was spectacular! I really wonder was life is like in Salt Lake, seems someplace that may be of interest for when I grow up! Views are spectacular, perfect sized city, para-sailing in the hills, skiing and resorts, great area for aviation (backcountry flying). I wonder....

The drive west on I-80 across the salt lake was amazing, I've flown over this area many times coming into Hill Air Force Base back in the day but what a different perspective. Further out west towards where I am now (Winnemucca, NV) was also beautiful with the rolling hills, snow capped mountains. Long drive but really enjoyed it.

Tomorrow off for another long leg to Bend, OR. Will be happy to be spending the next month exploring Oregon thanks to great tips by @J&JD.

In Winnemucca, you are in Basque Country. Hope you tried one of the local Basque restaurants. Or, at least, had a glass of Txakoli.

Glass of what? My water tasted weird, maybe I had that?? How long do I have?? :(

I didn't want to disconnect so I walked to the restaurant with my neighbors that were very friendly and social. Was good. Nice little town, very pretty here.

The words Winnemucca & pretty just don’t go together in my mind. What was that wine you were drinking again?
