I just completed the belt change on a 2011 Winnebago Tour 42 QD. First you must open the cabinet under the rear bathroom sink, remove the floor under the sink. Comes out in two halves..held in with wood screws. I removed the vertical center post that the two doors close up to and removed the halves. Under the floor is a metal cover held in by 4 bolts....take it out and there you go...the AC , alternator.and everything else is right there. My belt was blown so I didn't have to remove it to replace. There is a small bolt connecting the fan hub to the frame that also holds a wire. Remove and disconnect the wire. Take you new belt (I put on a Gates K080907 )and put it around every blade on the fan...now it can be installed on the other pulleys. Now you have to go out and under the rear of the coach. I removed a brace that was in the way of the tensioner...it is held on with a 3/8 bolt on the fan shroud and two 18 mm bolts on the frame...comes off easy. Now you need a second person to feed the belt down past the fan around the crank, around the tensioner, around the water pump, over to the alternator and up to the AC and back under an idler. You will have to keep it off the AC pump untill you release the tension on the tensioner with a 1/2 inch drive rachet. I used the rachet and a 15/16 wrench around the rachet handle to give me lots of leverage. Now replace the brace you removed, and the small bolt and wire when you get back into the bathroom......My wife and I did this by ourselves because we could not find anyone to help us....We were outside Quartzsite, Az. on March 20/2026 and had to be hauled in to a campground where we did the work. ....my cell number if you have any questions...306-577-7530 Pat Coffey from Kenosee Lake, Sask.
