If your under warranty, have it looked at before looking at a fix.

Good morning, Hot Rod John:
If the same as my Zion, I had this problem too. I think you are referring to the larger outer panel in front of the driver's side rear tire that swings down to access the black/gray water release valves (not the smaller locking panel that houses the hose connected to the macerating pump). This (larger) panel has two magnets affixed to the panel's interior top-edge that connect to two magnets mounted on the end of the brackets. The brackets are affixed to the vehicle frame. I resolved the issue by *gently* adjusting the brackets so that the two magnet tips had a stronger connection to the door's interior magnets when the door is closed.

After adjustment, test by shaking the panel by hand to ensure a strong magnetic close. The panel should not open my merely shaking it. If it still swings open, further adjust the brackets (gently).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice-My unit is the Chase model and there is only 1 set of magnets on rear side of panel. No space for more magnets-will ask Roadtrek HO in canada if there is an alternative solution besides a strap. Thanks for the advice. Hot Rod John
