2022 Jayco Eagle HT CKBS. Three slides. The living room slide, curbside, has an issue when going out. If I push the extend button it will make the ratcheting sound like they do when they are pulled in and hit the end of their travel and not move out. If I tap the extend button with VERY short pushes after two or three try's it will go out like it should. I thought the slide stop needed to be adjusted. Took it to my dealer, they experienced the same issue. They called Lippert, Lippert had them check the voltage to the motor. Was 13.4, resting voltage for my batteries, dropped to 12.6 when the switch was activated then went up some after the slide started to move. Sounds normal to me, more power draw when starting an electric motor than when running. I have 2 200 amp hour Lithium batteries installed. Lippert's answer was the problem is the lithium battery's, they cannot handle the starting power. Need to have lead acid instead. The batteries have been installed for two years, and the problem started 6 months ago. My thought is if the batteries are causing the problem, it should have shown up a long time ago. I have lithium in my Jayco, my pop-up and my cabin. No issues. My understanding, from watching the volt meters and battery manufacturers info is that lithium will hold the voltage steady until almost dead. Like a straight-line discharge. Lead acid will do a gradual drop, like if you are looking at a graph and the line runs from full down at an angle to dead. Of the other two slides, one is a cable drive and the bedroom one is the same Lippert style, no problem with it. My experience level is not just driveway experience. I spent 44 years as a mechanic working on anything from weed eaters to trackhoes, and most everything in between. My thought is that Lippert does not have a clue and is looking for an excuse to pass off the problem to me. Does anybody have any thoughts as to what could cause this problem?
