This was our first weekend in our new home. Talk about a learning curve. I picked up our New Horizons 45 and truck in Hugoton Kansas and drove it 1500 miles back to Florida. De-winterizing was no issue until I couldn't get the hot water to work. Thanks Curtus at Excel Service Center for the help finding the hot water tank bypass valves. The other head-scratcher was the slide that locked up on me. It wouldn't retract. The pump was running but it wouldn't budge. Pretty sure one of the pinion gears were a little out of sync with the rack. I happen to notice that the bar connecting the two gears was square and not round. My brain said, go grab a wrench. I cranked that thing back and forth until finally the gears meshed. Slide came in and problem fixed. I probably need to adjust that slide soon. Now if I can just figure out all the switches in the storage compartment. LOL!
