I agree. I still think there details we are not privvy to yet. I really suspect that the importer filled out something incorrectly that got this whole mess started.

I'll add this video which was sent to me just to collect any information related to this story and have it in this thread. I got halfway through the video and stopped, way too much time on disclaimers yadda yadda and waste of my time. So just posting to add to the story for those that care.

I agree, Neal…I’ve become so cynical on the whole “click bait” routine. It is BEYOND clear, to me, that these YouTubers are simply trying to ride the coattails of popularity right now to gather up as many “watches” as possible, in addition to getting “new subscribers; both of which equate to money in their pockets.

Simply put, the info is out there and nothing else can be said. I think the last clipping above, that shows letter (e) seems to be pretty clear and will be the hill that someone will die on.

Meanwhile, can someone send me a link to some of their favorite popcorn? I’m out.

Apparently according to the Newmar rumor mill . there are internal discussions at Newmar as you would expect.
Once a plan is devised I sure we will be advised. Most likely by calendar yearend.
Winnebago’s Fiscal Yearend is August 31. However this issue is certainly a drag on a steady depressed Stock price..Spring sales might be impacted.
Winnebago probably wants to issue a positive message to resolve the questions.
As NIRVC CEO has made the issue a dealer issue and ultimately a Retail customer issue, it’s is my opinion Winnebago will want to get ahead of this issue with a positive resolution.

The sticker was never meant to be anything more than useful information for service, owner, and reference.

The sticker is irrelevant.

All other chassis have the vin on the frame. That’s what is required and all that matters.

Only Spartan chassis are in non compliance. All other platforms are safe and free from the hassle that will soon be part of every Spartan owners life.
The issue is that Newmar is actively trying to rewrite the performance of the chassis using their stickers. In my case, they attempted to derate GVWR by 1000lb and got really mad when I poked them about it (they were already mad about the HVAC thing). I have a Super C, if you take away the Newmar sticker I have a 41,000lb medium duty truck with air brakes that I'm driving using my Florida license that only permits "any RV". This could potentially raise hell with insurance in an accident.
