I have been having some high latency issues with my Xfinity cable. Ran a Speedtest and am surprised by the results? The high Latency is due to the Express VPN. This is new.

While I'm no expert in VPN use it makes sense it would add latency due to encryption and probably an extra hop between you and the target.

Latency of 16 or 19, unless I am in an urban or major metro area, I would be thrilled with those numbers.
I realize this would be very high for a trading platform but for most household use I am surprised you see the difference.
Must be gaming?

It is the download lag that is killing me. Possibly used wrong term. But when I shut the VPN off, the internet is blisteringly fast and immediate. Search results pop on the screen, no perceptible delay. With the VPN enabled there is a several seconds delay. Feels like an eternity 🤓.

How much caffeine have you had prior to the speed test?

what router are you using connected to the comcast modem? or are you using their router?

do either have their own VPN system?

personally, never been a fan of third-party VPN solutions.

🤔very interesting! Slower Internet Speed, more time for coffee, multiplying the original problem!😉

Wow, almost 400 mbps! This is like driving a Porsche and complaining that the bugs are messing up the windshield.

I am not being clear, here are the numbers that are in question.
