I just received an email that the pause in standby mode, with the unlimited slow speed data, is now $10/month starting in June.
Not going to break the bank, but double in less than a year is a little irritating.

We got the email this morning.
Pulled it out of the RV, plugged it in, updated software, put it back away.
Cancelled service.
We have not used Starlink for over a year and do not expect to be in an area where we will it for another year - so we decided to just cancel and will create a new account when we need it again.
From a tech perspective, it is amazing what Elon has done in his career.
From a consumer perspective his companies are known for being “flexible” on pricing, changing pricing up and down, changing terms - things that as a consumer I find frustrating.
Starlink is an amazing set of tech that works amazingly well. But our destinations are not needing this currently as other options at better price points work for us.

I'll be cancelling both of mine. Cellular remains my primary, has worked well 99% of the time but Starlink was nice. It will be for emergency use after reactivating.

Received an email this morning that my Residential Max plan will be increasing in June. Going from $120.00 to $130.00 per month. Haven't receive the increase on the rv roam plan pause

I will gladly pay the new rate! Why? Because I'm cheap.
This is a good answer for some data usage scenarios. I have entry access systems working at 20 various sites all powered by Starlink on the $5 plan. These systems use MQTT, and don't need high bandwidth, so it works perfect for that data usage.

If resort wifi is slow, we use our cellular, works well for us
We rarely use a resort's wifi. 100% rely on cellular but we are planning to spend the winter in Mexico this season. We have been there before and found Mexico cell service very unreliable so I guess we'll go with S L.. Haven't looked into plans yet but Mobile Mini sounds good so far.

I had signed up to have Starlink during the early days and put up my $99 deposit. I can't remember exactly but I believe it was $500 for the equipment at that time and then you're on a waiting list for who knows how long. After several months, possibly a year I got a notice that service was increasing before I ever got service. It was at that point I suspected it would be an ever-increasing cost - so I asked for a refund and went with a price-lock guarantee from T-Mobile. I haven't been sorry. Home or on the road T-Mobile has always provided t he service I need.

We picked it up for our winter trip to the S West and used it sparingly. But it works when nothing else does. Going to a place called Defeated Creek this week and it says cell phone is sketchy, so we will reactivate Starlink most likely. My cell phone plan costs $25 month so the cost of the increase in SL is nothing. I am cheap also....

Still no email about roam standby increasing. Received this today. Beginning with your next billing cycle on or after June 18, the monthly price for your Roam plan will increase to $175/month.

Everything goes up.

My email says "next billing cycle on or after June 18, the monthly price for your Roam plan will increase to $55/month". I'm not surprised or alarmed. We don't stream anything, and only use Starlink for downloading news and email. It's important to be accessible to friends and family. My view is that if I fussed and boycotted every price increase on every service or product, I'd have to start with coffee and drop everything - including buying insurance, fuel, etc. Life is short, I'll enjoy.
