Then carry just a tire...surely you can put that somewhere in a 40ft rv..at least road service can fix ix then.
Not only a space issue, but tires are only good for 7 years or so…so if you don’t use it, you are throwing out a $1,000 tire. I carried one in my gasser for nearly 10 years and didn’t use it. I have had a diesel for 9 and haven’t either…. So that bolsters the argument that you are probably best off just buying when needed. It’s like paying for an extended warranty or insurance…you need to figure out the odds of you needing it. It also probably matters how many miles per year you put on your Rv.

I had my old Winnebago for 14 years. It came with a spare but I need the storage space more. Got rid of that spare within 6 months. Never needed the spare in the 14 years. That would have been two tires wasted. Our 2019 Jayco just got a new set of tires. Old ones were seven and never needed a spate for it either. That would have been three tires wasted and the loss of storage and extra weight for 20 years.

Road service will install it, no need to be towed to a tire store...dont bother bringing anything and spend the day on the shoulder waiting for someone to find a tire or pay huge towing fee..if you prefer.. i look for solutions not excuses
