It will be interesting to see how Campgrounds react to this unit. Standard shore power will be charging its battery.
 
I question the use of hybrid. Maybe I’m overthinking what I read, but it sounds like the ice engine only drives a generator. This generator is not strong enough to directly power the motors, so it’s contributing to battery storage to reduce the rate of draw. Therefore battery alone is 150 miles, while engine and battery are closer to 500.

To drive just on ice is not possible, therefore not like hybrid cars of today.
 
It's the same way locomotives work, really... diesel generators fueling electric motors.

I think having a huge battery bank and the ability to charge it with solar is awesome. You can park for a week, charge up, and travel with little costs some day.

I think it's 20 years pre-mature, but will be the tech of the future at some point.
