Tiffin Onan/Cummins Generator Problem

I have a 2022 Tiffin Phaeton, 40 IH, Onan 10,000, Generator runs good, coolant level is good, oil is good, had full service
oil & filter, fuel & air filter, 1 month ago. But it just shuts off with no warning, but will restart ok, but shut off again in
30 minutes or less. No gauges for generator for temp or oil pressure, all ok until last trip, then started this.

Went thru the same thing with our last MH. Turns out that the fuel pump gets hot after xx minutes and shut off. Then when it cools down will start and run for a time and shut down. I made the mistake of buying a Cummins fual pump and new filter to the tune of $138. You can pick up a pump for $30 or less. All it is. is a low pressure [4-7psi] inline pump. I was at a car show and could buy all I wanted for $18. Installation is simple. I did it in less than 15 minutes and off we went.

Classic sensor problem. Likely the oil pressure switch or coolant sensor is faulty and causing a false safety shutdown. Have a tech check it with a diagnostic reader.

Check your fuel pump. You said you just had it serviced, but check the oil dip stick oil level just to make sure it is full. Low oil pressure will also shut it off.

They also have a temp sensor that shuts them down when they get hot.
