Tip Tips for improving visibility around your RV while parked

A recent discussion reminded me of various things I do to improve visibility around my RV while parked. I'll share these tips and what I use for anyone interested in learning from what I learned.

1. When I went to Newmar to pickup my motorhome I had the great opportunity of meeting others there for service or taking delivery as well and learning from others as they offered their tips to a completely green new RVer never having owned a RV before. One tip was to use reflective tape on the fore and aft of slides. Sometimes parking at rallies you can be parked extremely close to one another. In fact I was at a campground on a beach near Daytona florida and slide to slide we were inches apart. When someone arrives at night parking next to you it can help to have reflective tape to identify the outer edges of your RV. This also helps for those walking with flashlights at night.

2. While parked in front of my house (S&B) on an active street I'll set reflective cones at the corners. These are also good to have in the event of a breakdown while traveling.

3. I installed solar charged motion activated lights at the corners of my coach adhered with 3M dual lock fastener tape. These lights are activated by vehicles and also people so they can be for obstacle warnings (cars) or security for when something is moving outside of your RV.

4. I installed "underglow" LED lighting on my RV so this also can be turned on to help make the RV more visible when needed. For those with under slide lighting it would serve the same purpose. I use and highly recommend boogey lights:

OK Neal, I thought the light coming on all night long disturbing my sleep, was you playing with me. Now I see you had no control of it.

Adding to the thread. You can also add IR leds along the sides of your rig to help your 360 cameras see at night without disturbing other in the process. You might also use marker cones to hold IR leds to get better lighting for your whole camp.

Neal get your 3D printer out and make some holders for the LEDs.
