My 2012 Roadtrek RS Adventurous oil light comes on intermediately when going over 60 mph. Just had oil changed by my mechanic and there is plenty of oil. My oil stick is a red handle, so I checked the oil level with engine oil is warm. I noticed that the oil level is way above the full line. I have a suspicion that there is too much oil causing the light to come on. At least I hope it is not the oil sensor. I tried to use a dip stick oil pump, but the tube doesn't seem to get down into the oil because there seems to be something blocking the tube. Any ideas on how to syphon out the excess oil? Or do I just have to drain the oil by the oil pan plug?
Thanks, in advance.

Overfilling oil will cause the crankshaft to whip air into the oil ,lowering its viscosity. That could be the cause of the warning .or a bad sensor..or worse a failing pump..i agree with above post..if your mechanic overfilled, use someone else next time

If he's local, I'd have him ( mechanic) look it over. If it's overfilled, let him correct it. Mistakes happen

Whatever you do be sure to get that oil drained a bit before you drive it anywhere Unless it’s around the corner to your mechanic Try and document the overfill with your camera if it’s way above the oil fill mark. You may need that proof if it did engine damage. yes, if you’re on the Ram chassis it’s very easy to unscrew the oil pan plug just DO NOT take it out altogether and let it drip into a receptacle. Do it while the engine is cold a little bit at a time.
