1997 engines where not engineered to need the additional additives in top tier.

2011 engines from General Motors where.

Pretty straightforward and well documented in the links above, nothing funny about it.

But you told a story like a true snitch! Shame on the engineers that thought to engineer their products to lower standards. Just saying!

Well my 1998 dodge 2500 with 300k is a dog compared to my 2011 suburban 2500 with more miles. The 2011 has more power with better economy, so maybe the engineers know what they’re doing?
