Any tips to installing the sensors? Every time I remove to adjust the air pressure I loose air while screwing them back on and end up on and off several times to get the pressure right.

What brand TPMS and type of sensors? Unless you are super slow putting the sensors on, you should really only loose a pound at the most. Don't forget, your gauge and the TPMS probably don't read exactly the same. You should have a few lbs "safety factor" in your desired pressure. Figure out with your pressure gauge how much air you loose putting the sensor on and taking it off (take a reading, the pot on-take off and take another reading). Subtract half that number from your starting and that will be approximately what your pressure gauge would read. Compare that to the TPMS and you can use that as a judgement point. If you are loosing say 4 lbs in the test above, overfill your tires by 2 lbs and you should be right on the money.

If you are talking about the black sensors that have the anti theft caps on them remove the caps. This makes the sensors much easier to remove/install and much smaller and lighter. And you can stop using the removal tool and just use your fingers. I’ve not heard anyone having a problem with theft and I’ve been using them without the anti theft caps for 15+ years.

I over fill by a little and then short burst to release pressure just until my digital readout hits the top end of desired pressure. I find that as soon as I get to the desired pressure there is another short burst left before it changes by -1psi, that usually allows for getting the TPMS on at the right pressure.

Mine are Guta and they are quite large which makes a couple of them tough to get a hold of and can take a few seconds to get on or off. What brand are the smaller ones?
Thanks

I have the TPMS dongles on my Toad but put internal sensors in my RV tires when I bought new tires.

I use the pass throughs. Never remove simply fill throughcap. Otherwise you have to slightly overfill, as suggested above. Advantage of passthrough TST 507, is read pressure on the screen and very seldom have to adjust.
