Trains and RVs. A unique combination. In Mesa, AZ, at Valle del Oro RV Resort there is truly a very rare combination. 1/3 acre, 4,000 feet of G gauge outdoor track layout. There is no cost to join a "club". Resort residents just show up with their battery powered, R/C controlled G-Gauge train sets and run the loops. A small commitment to help maintain the layout and participate in an orientation session on how things run.

G-Gauge trains. Gauge refers to the width between the rails (45mm). Several scales of trains run on the same gauge. Some locomotives can get to be over 2 feet long! Many sets have 2 and even 3 locomotives, plus their cars.

It's very hard to get it all in photos. Just believe that this is one fantastic layout and fascinating to watch. We also conduct night runs that are even more spectacular with 10 to 12 sets operational at the same time all lit up wonderfully. It's not unusual to have the entire perimeter of the fence lined with spectators watching a night run.

I've tried to attach videos, but no love.
