Traveling and prescriptions.

We are leaving on our first extended trip soon. An issue has come up with a prescription and we are being told it cannot be prescribed out of state. So we must get back to the state we reside in every month? It is not weed, but a restricted substance. How do others get around this? She also is not allowed more then a 1 month supply.....

Is it possible for a family member or someone to pick it up and ship it to you? Most campgrounds will accept mail for campers.

I have picked it up for her but since it is a restricted thing, I am not sure about anyone else.....we are checking with her Dr. now about why it cannot be transferred to a pharmacy where we are at...no one has explained anything other then we cant. She is seen by a specialist at Vanderbilt but even he said no.

So someone bent the rules and issued a prescription early. After we were told you could not get more then a month supply. Ah the fun of ageing and traveling. And Medicare and the exchange etc.

Hope you can work this out. Could you get the prescription delivered to a home chain like Walmart, they then transfer to another Walmart where you are?

None of our prescriptions are as controlled as yours but that is what we do.

CVS & Walgreens are the same; can be transferred.
