House batteries are deep cycle, not starting batteries.

Starting batteries are designed to supply high amps in a short fins (starting the engine). They don’t like to be discharged too low.
That’s why we use deep cycle batteries as house batteries. They have thicker lead plates and last longer for that purpose .
