We arrived home this past Monday and ended an amazing trip to Utah. We wanted to visit the 5 main NP and Monument Valley. We had a month in Utah and it seemed to not be enough but we visited a lot of places on the way out, while in Utah and the return trip.
Sandia Crest was great, the tram was not running due to high winds so a drive up. Wild horses at 4 Coners Monument was a nice treat. Big horn sheep at Colorado National Monument, I assume big horn.
I wanted to ride as real as possible stagecoach, drive I70 home to cross the Rocky’s and Johnson tunnel. We made it. A stop in Kansas City and a visit with a childhood friend of Andrea. She was surprised, I was able to keep the visit a surprise.
I had all but given up on a stagecoach ride, while in KC I , found a Mahaffie museum about 10 miles from the RV park. A neat place, an old stagecoach stop in the 1850s.
We were in several parks on our journey and met people from close to home as we often do.
I recommend a trip to Utah if you have not visited, you will enjoy.
I will not post many pics, here are a couple.
