What’s this drain?

One of the kids alerted me to a steady stream of water pouring out of the bottom of our RV. Went outside to check and found a small lake forming. The water doesn’t appear to have any smell to it and the only water using appliance running at the moment is the washing machine. Seems like far too much water to be a roof drain. Possible an overflow for fresh water? I had it on auto fill but then switched to manual in the wetbay to see if the stream would slow. No change. The drain from where the water is coming is located just underneath the peg board bay.

Picture? You mentioned low point drain being used when changing your wet bay shower setup. Did you change that setup? Did you close the low point drains? Confirm both AutoFill and Manual Fill are OFF?

I had a shower pan drain leak, have you inspected that? You have to remove the wood louver on the bedroom side of the shower and use a flashlight to inspect. Nothing else needs to be removed to inspect. If it was a shower pan or washer machine leak I think the leak would be back towards the aft area such as under the engine compartment.

I think @redbaron had an autofill leak on his DSDP.

@Neal No, I haven't changed anything. Never got back to it. Was planning to get back on it today. We figured it out though. One of the kids left the shower on with the aqua-miser set to recirculate. DW and I didn't know. Meanwhile, tank is set to autofill. So shower is calling for water, then recirculating it back to the freshwater tank causing an overflow.
Figured this out by first setting fill mode to manual, stream kept going.
Turning off the washer, stream kept going.
Cut water to the coach, stream died. Tank level stayed at 100% the whole time.
Wife went to the rear of the coach, now with the washer off she heard the shower. Cut the shower off and stream died. Turned water supply back on, no stream. Turned washer back on, no stream.

So apparently that is my fresh water overflow.

At first, my daughter who reported it said it was a "stinky water" and I assumed perhaps I'd left the black valve open. Thank god it was just a fresh water overflow.

It's amazing how much learning goes on with these coaches. It's daunting at first, over time you'll have a great feel for all of the systems and it's really rewarding to really get to know your coach. The Newmar community is a huge help with that.

I'll never forget my first camping trip with my new VTDP. I couldn't get my sewer hose to connect that I bought, I didn't know I needed a 90 degree elbow. I posted a question, got an immediate answer from fellow Newmar owners, went to the CG store and bought the needed 90 degree elbow. Without this online community camping could be demoralizing. We're never camping alone

And I agree it's the fresh water overflow just doing what is is suppose to do.

Either:

1) the manual fill valve got left on
2) your auto fill shut-off level needs to be adjusted lower
3) someone was taking a shower and using the by-pass valve to get the hot water there which dumps the by-pass water back in the tank
4) that's all I can think of ...

Had this happen to us when I set the tank to fill and lost track of time. It is quite startling to see water streaming out of the bottom of the RV. Glad to know our systems are working correctly and keeping systems safe from inattentive owners! ;-)

I turn on the CG spigot to fill my tank and go sit down for a while and listen. That is how I know it's full - overflows.

Had the same issue with the shower water miser valve just recently. Probably was told about it long ago in Nappanee far far away...

Sorry to ask a dumb question. Where exactly is this aqua miser? I have never heard of it and I don’t use auto fill.

@sheridany … here is a stock picture I found. It's in the shower. I circled the control knob on the botton and the indicator on the top.
