I like to get an early start to the day (up between 5-6 a.m. each day), the Boss however prefers a later start. Based on the time constraints and planned distance we leave anywhere between 7 a.m. and 10 ish. On our trip back from Nappanee this year we were rolling by 8:00 a.m. each day. Checked in around 3 p.m. at the destination.

As full time we are not in a hurry, max driving distance is 300 miles per day. I figure 50 mph average including any stops. Never leave before 9am and hope to be parked no later than 4pm.

Uhhhhh, it completely depends on what time we want to arrive at our next destination. We might leave at noon or before the sun comes up just depends.

My rule of thumb is 50 miles an hour, that accommodates for traffic, fueling and rest stops along the way. It's been a pretty reliable formula for us over the years.
