I am considering having fiber internet to my 5th wheel. The cable company says they will put an nid box on the outside of the rv. Does this mean they will actually bolt a box onto the outside wall of the rv? Has anyone else done this?

I suspect your 5th wheel is mainly stationary. If so, you can put a 4x4 post into the ground (or something similar) and the cable company can mount the NID to that. You can then run your cable from the NID into your 5th wheel for your internet access.

Thank you. This is what I thought and I did not want to have it mounted on the rv!

Do not let them put it on the RV itself. The advice @Buster gave you is spot on.
