We have been in the Santa Fe National Forest for 10 days. The first 2 days, we were in a park (no hookups), and we are now boondocking in the forest. The weather has been perfect, with highs in the 60s and 70s and lows in the 40s—8,200'

elevation. Our closest neighbor is ¼ mile away. This is our first adventure since adding solar, and it is a game-changer

if you enjoy solitude.

@Jim has already brought to my attention that I was going uphill. We had just set up, and my wife also brought it to my attention when I went back inside. As I explained to Jim, with the cost of film and the processing expense, I didn't retake the photo.

Sun Outdoors Canyonlands Gateway Moab, Utah

I left Fruita, CO yesterday and headed over to Moab where I will be for the next 2 weeks before joining up with the NKK Full-Timers Rally in Coalville, Utah. I was thankful I only had to drive just shy of 100 miles as the wind was some of the worst I have ever encountered!!! 🤬 I have stayed here on a few occasions and it works out well for me as it is located North of Moab which is unfortunately typically a sh*t show these days.

@No Plan a lady (Melissa) is going to the NKK fulltimers rally that posted on FB yesterday about her towbar breaking. She is looking for someone to weld it. Hopefully she didn't do that, but then again. Maybe someone can explain to her the dangers of doing this.

No bueno!!! When I come up from the desert in the Spring as part of my annual services I also have my home dealer, TransWest in Frederick, CO, inspect and service my Blue Ox tow bar... (y) By the looks of the tow bar in the pictures an inspection was long overdue and probably would have prevented this failure... 🤔

She claimed she bought it like that from Roadmaster.....LMAO It was clearly doing what it was NOT intended to do

NAPPANEE RACEWAY, Nappanee IN

Whether you find yourself in Nappanee on a summer Friday or Saturday night by choice or a delayed repair, check out the Nappanee Raceway for some old-fashioned family-night fun. This is horse racing completely unlike the Kentucky Derby. Harness racing is a big deal with the locals and the competition is fierce for small purses (about $150 for the winners) and bragging rights. Admission is five bucks and you can sit in a small set of bleachers or bring a lawn chair and sit by the fence. Almost all the drivers and owners are named Miller, Yoder or Slabaugh, and the parking lot has more buggies and bicycles than cars. Check it out if you get a chance!

Harness racing is exciting, and you never know what may happen.

I'll be adding that to the list of reasons to head to Nappannee again. Looks like a great way to spend an evening.

I saw that on FB. There are so many things wrong, I don't know where to start.
What?!? Wait!! My brain hurt looking at the photographs. Was that truly a monstrosity of a T bar that had a drop hitch going directly into a receiver mounted on the front of the tow vehicle?!? No actual tow bar, just hitches and receivers centipeded into each other to create a "solid" connection?!? Tried towing a pickup backwards?!? Then, to add insult to injury, some other hitch then going to something above where the tow vehicle was attached? I'm with @osuallen in that the list is endless in those photos... I've been to Roadmaster in Vancouver, WA; I think it is safe to say there is no way anybody who works there did that.

Gaffney service center for annual maintenance tomorrow. 4 year maintenance so bigger list than normal but they do good work.

No pics since it is pouring here.

London Aire and a Dutch Star with painted to match trailer here also.

Couldn’t get schedules to jive so took a break for couple days from Hilton Head National - headed back there Wednesday.
