Why, yes it is! And yesterday afternoon, two more of those same specially signed coaches pulled into this park. A Kountry Star followed by a Dutch Star.

We were in Joseph OR yesterday. Took the tram up to 8150 ft elevation to enjoy the view! We will be coming back to this area perhaps this fall. Its terrific!

Ha ha! I know those two coaches. Kountry Star was the Presidents of the NKK Oregon Explorers and Dutch Star was probably the Vice Presidents as they were traveling together after the international rally. Small world! Unfortunately I had this thing called work to be at on Monday so I had to hotshot it back home in just 2 days vs. take the scenic route back. Jealous for sure! Glad you enjoyed the view!

Glenwood Canyon Resort Glenwood Springs, Colorado

I left the Front Range on Thursday and drove up to the Glenwood Canyon Resort in Glenwood Springs, CO where I will be until this Saturday. My children and grandchildren are up valley in Aspen for the 4th of July holiday and I have been spending time with my family. It is awesome to have everyone all together rather than bouncing around the country seeing them... 😁🤗

St. Vrain State Park Firestone, Colorado

I left Glenwood Canyon on Saturday after spending an enjoyable 10 days with my children and grandchildren up valley in Aspen. I had to come down to the Front Range to take care of some necessary repairs. After almost 80,000 miles on my Jeep, between driving and towing, I needed to replace my windshield. The other more serious repair was to get my bedroom slide fixed. While I was at the Full-Timers Rally I had a slide failure. One of the cog wheel plates became detached. With help from my Full-Timer buddies we managed to get the slide pushed back in. I wasn't able to get it repaired at the Newmar International Rally as my coach needed to be on a flat, hard, level surface to do the repair. My home dealer, TransWest in Frederick, CO, got me in for service on Monday morning to repair my slide. All is good now and it is nice to have my full bedroom back... 🤗

While I am on the Front Range I will be going down to Monument, CO where our Bonneville Salt Flats motorcycle builder has his shop. I need to make sure the rebuild on the BSA motorcycle I am crew chief for is good to go. I'm hoping we will set a new land speed record this year... 😁 I will head down to Angel Fire, NM on Monday for a week before heading back here to pick up my rider and head off to the Bonneville Salt Flats for a week of motorcyle racing and dry camping.

Angel Fire RV Resort Angel Fire, New Mexico

I drove down to the village of Angel Fire, NM, population around 1,100 yesterday, where I will be for the week before heading out to the Bonneville Salt Flats. Located in the Moreno Valley, in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains at an elevation of 8,400 feet, I will be enjoying the cooler temperatures of the mid to upper 70s... 😁 😎

Angel Fire RV Resort is one of my favorite stops during my Summer travels and I've been coming here for 5 years. Upon my arrival yesterday I was informed of some new rules that have been implemented. The first was their new policy of a $25.00 an hour early check in fee if you arrive before 1:00 PM. I rolled in at 12:20 PM and I was greeted immediately with this new policy. I have never experienced this before during my 5 years of staying here so I pulled my coach out of the checkin and line and waited for 40 minutes. Another new rule is a fine policy if you are not courteous or respectful to the staff members. The policy is a reminder the the first offense, a $50.00 charge for the second, and a $100.00 charge for the third and a possible request to leave the property. If you put your trash out before, or after, the specified time of 9:30-10:30 AM there is a $35.00 cleanup fee if the birds get to your trash.

I have no idea what events have taken place since I was here last year, but evidently management felt it was necessary to implement these new policies. Considering this is a higher end RV Resort, and they charge accordingly, the people that typically stay here, based on my personal experience, are decent human beings. I will continue staying here going forward as I don't anticipate getting charged for inappropriate behavior... 🤗

Hey!! I've met you in person. You are a character - a loving character!

Word to the wise: keep your enthusiasm for a good life in check at that place. They clearly have lost sight of what good people are really like!!

Thank you for your kind words... I feel I am always a good person to others. It's not very difficult... 🤗

Wowza, I've wanted to stay at Angel Fire for quite some time but just haven't been able to make it work.
Even though I'm a pretty good guy, I'm not a fan of such "courtesy and respect" policing.

Do they have a credit policy if the staff are jerks?

Wow! Sounds like they have a few "COVID" type campers. These were people that had no respect for rules or the respect of fellow campers (or camp hosts). We quite hosting mid season of 2021. It's pretty sad that this type of behaviou still exists.

I have to say I am a bit taken aback by some of the comments regarding my posting the policies I mentioned at Angel Fire RV Resort... 🤔 I have been staying here every year over the past 5 years and being a Full-Timer I stay at a lot RV Resorts/Parks during my Summer travels. Angel Fire RV Resort is without a doubt one of the best managed and maintained RV Resorts that I have EVER stayed at. The management and staff are top shelf in my opinion... and believe me, I have encountered an interesting mix of management and staff during my travels.

The Land of Enchantment , and the Enchanted Circle, is a very special place for me and the village of Angel Fire in the Moreno Valley is a beautiful place to hang out. If you have never spent time in New Mexico you are missing out on a fantastic experience.

Obviously there had to have been an incident/incidents for management to implement this policy regarding the treatment of the staff. I have no idea what took place but I am going to do some digging to see if I can find out. Angel Fire RV Resort is not a place that, in my opinion, caters to a**holes. The pricing and availability during the Summer months is quite evident of that.

For those that feel, based on this policy not knowing the circumstances that you won't consider Angel Fire RV Resort, I have to say it's your loss. The actions of some individuals, who don't know how to play nice and be a good human being, are evidently the cause of this policy. This policy will not affect my current stay nor will it affect my stays in the future.
