Can you be a little more specific? Does the rpm, start to drop as you come to a stop and the engine gradually die, or does it just die immediately when you stop? How many miles on it. Any other symptoms?

Engine starts w/o pedal, runs low idle until warm. After coming to stop when warm, engine dies with throttle in gear. Will restart with pedal floored. 115555 original miles.

maybe your torque converter is not unlocking. Can you put a code reader on it? Seems to me that OBDII came along after that, 95 or 96, but my 94 Ford had OBDI. Have you tried shifting into neutral as you come to a stop?

"Will restart with pedal floored"

Replace the coolant temp sensor in the front side of the intake manifold below the T stat housing.
