Is there still a wife ranger rep on the forum?
I have a 23 fleetwood frontier with wifi ranger, Spruce. At REV service in April a tech signed me onto the wifi at REV to show me how to do it. But, I had bigger issues going on and couldn't really follow. And I only had a Amazon fire to do it with. The text was so tiny.
So now I have a laptop and a 10"android tablet on board. But cant figure out how to do it. I have written manual and have watch videos but no luck.
Once I get this figured out will it be this complicated to connect the ranger to campground wifi every time I change locations, or is there a simpler way after initial setup ?

I highly recommend removing the WiFi ranger, placing in the garbage, and getting something better, most anything is far better. I personally use Pepwave cellular routers as I have been since 2018. I first went with WiFi ranger. Pure trash IMHO and has security and privacy issues. Just my $.02.

Here's a YouTube video that may help: YOUTUBE - RANGER WiFi
Thanks. I ha e watched that one before but couldn't get it connected. I think it was because the tablet was so tiny and I had to scroll and zoom so much I lost my place. Ill give it a try now with larger tablet. Thanks again.

WiFi ranger is a perfect device for checking a box when selling the Rv.

It’s the worst option when it comes to actually using the Rv and trying to get internet.

It was designed to be sold to board rooms and dealerships not end users

Gl.inet is a very low cost direct replacement. I have several of their models and love their ease of use. I used to run peplink, but found them to be too restrictive and costly. Gl.inet is under $200

This is timely….as I have a 9 year old WIfi Ranger that it really starting to show its age. It still works…as I only use it to use the campgrounds WiFi and create an internal network, use a wireless printer and media server. I do not have any associated cellular plans outside of our phones. We just don’t camp enough to make it cost effective. And I am not working remote anymore (retired in 2022) so I just need it for email, browsing and basic streaming.

So does the GL- inet fit that niche?

Watched a few videos off the vendors site….it does look like a good replacement for the WiFi Ranger…. But would still like any additional thoughts. Thanks.

We had this one in our coach after the WiFi Ranger started having issues….

Had it connected to TMobile home and auto failover to Starlink when we needed.

Worked well for us the year or so we had it.
