We weren’t expecting this but back in February, we booked a two week stay at one of our favorite state parks, Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, FL. A fantastic park with great mountain biking trails if you’re into that. Plenty of other things to do as well if you’re not.

We got here last week and its a two week stay, but Tropical Storm Eta is cutting that short as the park shuts down and requires evacuation when under a tropical storm warning. No biggie, we quickly made some plans to head north to Orlando. Checking the forecast this morning, it looks like we’ll be on the edge of it come Friday. So now I’m thinking we might make a quick run to GA.

It’s unusual to see these kinds of storms at this part of the calendar year but I’m sure I’m not the only Snowbird that winters in FL. What do the other Snowbirds to when a tropical storm or higher comes your way?
