Once again, just bought it used and no previous owner contact. When the rv is powered I get ssid that starts with Winegard. Asks for a password. There is a round black winegard antenna on the roof, looks similar to the 360 model that was on my 5ver. I don’t see a gateway device on the ceiling or in a cabinet. When I kill power to the rv the ssid disappears so that narrows it down a bit. Any ideas as to where it is and how to reset it so I can use it? Thanks.

I would look in cabinets. Ours is in the bath cabinet and they ran the wires down to that area for less holes in the roof. Different manufacturer but should be somewhere they didn’t have to run the wires too far.

If it is Wi-Fi box then it is not very big and may be hidden behind things.

Searched everywhere. I did find the plug that powers it and the switch that turns it off but no router to be seen. I saw that some antennas come with the router actually inside the antenna. I may have to seek winegard support.

Got it resolved. So my model is a VWF2-435, it requires you have the original manual as there is a sticker inside the front cover with the default ssid and factory wpa2 password. I did not have the manual. I then had to go on the roof of my rv and remove 2 phillips head screws. This revealed a simm slot and a reset button. Also there is a little sticker withe the default ssid and wpa2 password. After a reset I was able to get in via the RV HALO app and set it up. Even though we have starlink I thought I would have this as a backup for those one nighters with good wifi (few and far between). Btw, if you bought a used rv with this unit and you have the manual with the info inside the front cover, all you need to do is start with the power switch off, turn it on, wait 90 seconds and turn it off, repeat 3 times. After the 3rd time when it reboots it will call for a self reset and you will be able to use the info in the manual to connect and set it up to your liking. Check for firmware updates in the app. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Forgot to add, in my model and a few other models the router is built right into the roof mounted antenna. Thats why the reset button was behind the little door.

Glad you found it and got it figured out.

Thanks for posting the solution you used - will probably help someone on here in the future.

Our Winegard router quit working recently and I replaced it with something else as we use TMobile home internet and Starlink (as needed).
