Hello All,

We are looking into purchasing either a 2025 or 2026 Winnebago Travato 59K or 2025 Roadtrek Play Plus.

We currently have the 2019 Roadtrek Zion and enjoy using it for traveling and camping. (Other than some things that broke giving us bad experiences with it.) The layout is ok, but the bathroom is small, there are no outside outlets and storage space isn't as much as appears in the Travato. We find the table pretty much useless to use and bring our own fold up table to use when needing a table in the Roadtrek.

Though looking at the Winnebago Travato 59K there are a few features we really like in the Travato. i.e., layout with bathroom in the back and a lot more storage space, the larger dual position table, outside outlets and rearview camera mirror.

Been reading up reviews on both. Pretty much have dealt with most of the issues noted for the Roadtreks and been managing through them. Though, never had the issue with contacting Roadtrek and getting help with any questions I had. Note: I am out of warranty, so hadn't a need for any warranty work. But Roadtrek has always been responsive and helpful. My biggest disappointment with the Roadtrek is things breaking. I.e., cabinet and drawer latches, and refrigerator door (see my other post). Though, I am aware all the bouncing and banging with driving a RV can be tough on the things in RV.

I read reviews on the Travato 59K that has been reported to having transmission issues. This is a huge concern for me. (Anyone can provide me any feedback on this would be appreciated. Seems odd the same Ram Promaster front as the Roadtrek would have a transmission issue with the Winnebago.) As well as fridge issue with shutting off or temp reducing. And the other issue with the Travato is the awning either coming open while driving or not functioning properly when trying to open it.

Willing to hear from owners of either RVs and your thoughts or experiences.

Thank you in advance.

HI, we just rented the Travato 59K and spent 4 days in the Hard Labor Creek SP, GA. The doors in this unit into bathroom are hard to make work and make a lot of noise. The holding tank for black is very small, we did not use it much so we did not have to dump (rental co wants to do it). I washed dishes outside, gray tank is also very small, and did not want to fill it up. The cab chairs need to be turned around to have any place to sit, the seat part to me feels small, not enough depth for my thigh length. Finding the control to turn the chairs took me 20 minutes, manual does not specifically show it in a picture. The table, needs to be moved when sleep time, or the PS side bed is unusable, the bracket will not allow feet to get into bed, so table top to drivers seat, and the bracket to the door bracket. Kitchen is very small, we cooked breakfast each day, oatmeal, doable, but not like many other RVs we have owned. The cabinets are all MDF with a vinyl wrap, not quality at all. Toilet makes lots of noise when flushing, as water pump is right under the beds, no city water hookup for city side services, you live out of the Fresh tank. Filling it up, means opening the door in the back and hooking up water fill there. GREAT chart on how various valves need to be set for each type of operation with water, excellent, maybe best I've ever seen. I have owned all kinds of RVs in my 42+ years of doing this. I would NOT recommend this MH to anyone over the age of 50, and it's really IMHO too small for a couple. Find something bigger. The chassis was great, plenty of power, acceleration, but a little squirrely over 65 MPH. This was a 2024 model and no trans issues, no awning issues. Believe those have been fixed, some owners report valve problems but that may be fluke too.
