Wonky black tank level readings

Coach: 2017 Mountain Aire 4519
Problem: black tank is consistently reading 0%, regardless of actual level
Status: after much conversation with ChattyGPT, I am convinced that the problem is the Kavlico pressure sensor.
However, the smart-alecky AI doesn’t know where the sensor is located or how much trouble it will be to replace.
Has anyone here had experience at chasing it down and replacing it?

In my experience those black tank level sensors never work, for long anyway. I have a formula, if my grandkids are on board it's dump it daily. If it's just my bride and me, every 4-5 days. Of course that's relative. I've read where some folks say the Mopeka sensors work.

If you can locate it - normally on the top of the discharge line someplace - they should unscrew from the piece glued into the piping.

Two wires in the top for power and the pressure sensing.

There is a small hole on the inside that can get crud in it and cause the pressure to not get sensed.

If you can follow the discharge line from the black tank you should be able to find the sensor on top somewhere along the way.

When mine act up, I add Calgon and Dawn dish soap to a clean tank with a water level in it..........
I attached the troubleshooting file for them.
They are not fun to work on especially if you have to change one out, you work blind with feel from your finger's.........one hand.
On your Silverleaf screen you should be able to see the "Count's" from the sensor's they mention in the file.

With a flashlight, look up under the white panel in the wet bay, the Black n Gray tank's are mounted above the fresh water tank, the sensor's should be on the left side of both tank's..............
