Drove from CoarseGold, CA to Mendin, NV. The roads over to here at times were extremely tight. Almost tooo tight for our rig and toad. Many times I had to drive into the on coming traffic in order to make our turns.
About 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe where we will be spending lots of our time. Campground has all pull-throughs and right under the tires is concrete were the stabilizers go. Great views from here but very close to the hwy.

St. Vrain State Park Firestone, Colorado

I rolled out of Angel Fire, NM heading to St. Vrain State Park around 6:30 this morning as heavy morning thunderstorms were forecasted with potential flooding on US-64 between Eagle Nest and Raton, NM. My route from there unfortunately had me on I-25 so I pounded pavement on the Interstate from Raton to just North of Denver on the Front Range. I would much rather cruise around on twisty 2 lane Scenic Byways slogging over high mountain passes than deal with Interstate drivers. Interstate driving is boring... and it is mentally fatiguing keeping track of all these freakin idiots in my mirrors... People drive like they in a NASCAR race...

I was here in the Spring and now the state shows the park as being in Firestone not Frederick... I will be here for a couple of weeks waiting on my youngest daughter to give birth to her first baby. This will be a busy year for new grandchildren... My oldest son and his wife had their second child in March, and my oldest daughter in West Hollywood, is due with her second child in September. It's raining babies...

We left the Carson City area today and drove to Winnemucca,NV. We are headed to Blanchard, Idaho to stay at Stoneridge Motorcoach RV Resort. Nice place to rest for the night.

Do you go to the Motorcycle bike rallies in Baker city Oregon? it is coming up July11-13. Neat town to go visit. Oregon has some beautiful Biker rally rides to go to.

Stayed in Stanfield, OR. on our way to Blanchard, ID. This was a Pilot Gas Station with an RV park. It was actually very nice and with the a/c units running we couldn’t hear any of the trucks near us.

I used to go to the Laconia NH bike week back in the eighties, now a days I'm just a scenic cruiser.
