We need this to come to Canada.California just announced they are removing 17k CDLs at end of month. These are all the ones that California issued to non-legal citizens.
Other states are following, with Michigan being the next target.
This last week we traveled, and I still witnessed many of the flip flop drivers, but oddly only on the US-State routes, and the internstate routes. We traveled from DFW Texas to Branson MO, and spent a lot of time on the US-69. This route had plenty of immigration issues. On the way home I did witness Texas DPS lined up with 20+ units along a truck parking area, so I am guessing the crackdown is underway.
I cannot wait to have PROFESSIONAL drivers back on the road.
Hopefully it will improve check-in / check-out processes at our facilities soon.
You know you may be a moderator here but is " flip-flop drivers" necessary ? It's just a racist dog whistle, especially in its intended context and you should stop with it.California just announced they are removing 17k CDLs at end of month. It's a racist dog whistle, no different from "they're all garbage", or "they're eating the dogs and cats" and it has nothing to do with footwear. The Hungarian holocaust survivor Lily Eberts said "The killing didn't begin with the killing it began with the words". You know it and so does he and if pointing that out is a problem for you or him or anyone else, that's too bad. You can solve the problem by removing me, otherwise I'm going to speak up when I see it.The other option is don't get offended so easily, look beyond it, move on. It's insignificant in this thing called life. Shoes, hats, shirts, or me RVing in the snow? Are these really significant enough to get upset over?
