Not really, where we are now has a lot of tree cover so the loss of connection was frequent.Dennis, Did you put it through the paces? It obviously works for email type usage. Did you try to watch TV. Did it work with some occasional buffering or or fall completely on it's face?
They charged me over $250 to reactivate a standby mode dish. The area is saturated so their idea seems to be to let the user "self regulate" for lack of a better term. They feel that if you see the high activation fee, you will probably not reactivate, and that buys them some time to get more birds in the sky.Has anyone cancelled and later reactivated Starlink recently? When the pause/standby price went up I cancelled. Now preparing for a trip I may reactivate. Are they charging a fee to reactivate? No, I haven't checked the site or app, just seeing if anyone else has done this and expectations.
We have T-Mobile for home 5G internet, and when we travel we take our modem with us and have used it all over the country. I know they say they are supposed to be "geo-gating" and that may happen someday, but currently it has worked from far south Texas to Tulsa, OK to Knoxville, TN and all over the Southeastern United States. Rarely have we ever camped in a spot without T-Mobile coverage for watching TV, surfing the web, emails, etc.Son is investigating T-Mobile. They would be cheaper for 2 phones vs Verizon ($60 vs $94), and since there is a tower about 2 miles away as the crow flies, perhaps their internet service will be good.
We are awaiting their modem, and when we've got it set up and pointing in the right direction for our residential plan, we will see how T-Mobile works vs Starlink.
