I have ours on the new standby mode. Works ok for text messages. Text msgs with pics take a bit longer.
Did a video test with Ookla and it said the max resolution would be 240p on a small device. Tried streaming video surveillance camera through it at 1024, that was a bust.

Dennis, Did you put it through the paces? It obviously works for email type usage. Did you try to watch TV. Did it work with some occasional buffering or or fall completely on it's face?

Not really, where we are now has a lot of tree cover so the loss of connection was frequent.

At our current location it would have failed streaming I’m sure.

When we get back to our spot in FL in a month and a half I’ll give it a test there in standby mode since we have open sky.
