I have to take another look, you're probably right.The 24 is the Group physical size designation. Letters after the "24" designate terminal layouts. I doubt very much that you have anything 24 volts in that rig unless someone mad a major change.
I am confused!I charged them, it sat for a long time. They don't hold a charge. But Shouldn't each battery read 24v not 12v?

24 volt batteries are uncommon, so My guess is you are looking at two 12 volt batteries in series. Make sure to take pictures before disconnecting anything.
