I plan to post some info about the new coach, but I wanted to comment first on what may be my favorite new standard feature -

No more messing with the sliding panel to unlatch the screen door from inside the coach. I know others have implemented a similar solution, but now this simple lever is standard.

Yeah!

Love it. Would love to get one of these...

I called PTL and ordered one for our 2017. Before I had a chance to install it we traded up to the 2020 so installed it on @ARD coach. Funny thing I still find myself sliding sliding the panel open to release the screen?.

PTL can make one for you, I think it was about $75.

Sounds like a 3D print challenge @Chuggs

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU, BILL! I love it!!!

Shouldn’t be difficult... send prototypes to Summit to see if they can reproduce it in a CNC with Stainless :)

Unless I am missing something here, it seems that PTL is selling them for "about $75" per @NWIP.

Selling a $5 part for $75 - yep, missing! In the land of 3D printing it's fun to design and create these things on our own. This is a very simple ABS plastic component we can print ourselves, or one would think hence my joke/challenge to Mr. 3D print hisself @Chuggs! He's done some amazing work with design and prints.

I do understand the 3D printing idea (to some extent), but those of us without that capability would have to spend several hundred dollars on equipment/software and invest a bunch of learning time in order to produce this $75 part. My old-school math indicates this would be a net loser. ;)

Maybe I can use my old milling machine to make one out of stainless instead. That equipment is paid for. :ROFLMAO:

I'm thinking I could make one out of parts in my junk drawer in the garage. Great idea tho!
