Lookin' good Renee! After missing Lisa and Bill at Spartan a few weeks ago, we will finally get to meet at Deer Springs next month...gonna be there at the same time.
I think Lisa and I will be there too.

Yes, you will. Looking forward to it! You will also be parked three sites from us at Hoots.

We're at Mountain Ranch RV Park in Newport, TN for five nights. A very nice LITTLE park with only four sites. Full hookups and no other amenities, but a great place for peace, quiet and exploring the area. Our AT&T sim card shot craps, but T-Mobile is giving 45 Mbps down. AT&T and Verizon phone service is workable, but not strong. The park is located away from traffic and noise, but convenient to shopping and attractions. Owners are very easy to work with.

I kind of doubt that. Just heard from Newmar and the short version is the FWS was incorrectly "fixed" when the original owner took it to NIRV, and now Newmar will have to do the repair over.

The coach is leaving the dealership and heading to Newmar for an Oct 2nd appointment. I'm told to expect a 2 week repair, so we'll all have to drool over Steve and Lisa's new rig.

I am very disappointed, but it-is-what-it-is.

Jim, how did you learn about the repair being incorrect? I'm concerned because mine was done at NIRVC in Lawrenceville...most likely same as yours.

Yes, it was in Lawrenceville.

I found out during the inspection. They found a broken tile and were going to replace it. I mentioned that the broken tile is the telltale sign of the slide malfunctioning. So the tile was either broken before the repair, and they just didn't replace it, or the tile broke after the repair, and that means there is still a problem.

As luck would have it, a Newmar tech was there during the inspection, and they asked him to look at it. He took pictures and when he got back to the Newmar factory, him and some other tech's discussed it and decided that the repair was done incorrectly. Something about the slide not being attached to the side of the coach correctly.

The tile was the giveaway. The owner said the slide worked fine, and after the repair, he never had a problem with it. But that being said, that doesn't mean that a problem wouldn't show up later as the coach got older.

After Red Gate wound up SE of asheville at Mountain Falls, Lake Toxaway. What a beautiful place, golf hiking views. At 3200 feet the mornings were mid 50’s and high of 73. Friendly staff, owners and renters with lots going on daily.
