Alert TPMS SENSORS ON RUBBER STEMS MAY CAUSE VALVE STEM FAILURE!

Agree with both points. My CR-V has 103k miles on it, all of which are with the TPMS sensors attached. The 2014 CR-V has a horrible OEM TPMS system so I use an after-market one all the time just so I can get accurate tire pressures.

Problem 2022 Dutch Star High Tire Temperature

I have a new 2022 Newmar Dutch Star 4369. First trip abandoned after experiencing TPMS warnings of 178 and 180 for the inside rear tires. I checked the forums, which suggested faulty readings on the TPMS, but the smell of burning rubber has me thinking the TPMS was accurate. I am stunned the...

Looking for a TPMS for Class A

My 22 will have a new tpms, but I have decided not to use it for the toad. The primary reason is my toad is a jeep wrangler, and I do the 5 tire rotation on it every 5k miles. It has large 37s and I want to get the most out of them. I considered buying the tool that let's me set the tpms, and...

    Good TPMS?

I get a lot of results regarding tpms when I click your link.

    TPMS Recommendation

Over the years, I've had 3 flats on my tow. Each time I was saved by my TPMS except for when I first got my LA and was using chassis TPMS because I had not gotten around to installing my EEZ yet. Thank goodness for the good people of Arkansas who waved me down. I was lucky not to ruin the rim on...

Check your tires every travel day!

...to 80s in the afternoon has caused an Over Pressure alarm on a front tire. I’ll wait until morning and adjust cold pressure again before heading South. Adjusting the TPMS alarm threshold might help but not my preferred method. Notice this is more common when speed average creeps above 65 mph.

Question The one thing what worries me is a Flat tire.

Porterhouse, Thanks. That was my thoughts. I have a 6"x6" block under the tongue when set up. I am working out of town and staying. But I will have tow through Houston, Texas in June and I shudder at the thought of addressing a flat tire on I-10 around Houston. First order of business...

    Wireless TPMS Good or Bad

I recently converted my jeep wrangler to metal valve stems compatible with the jeeps tpms sensor. This allowed me to connect the tpms without worry of damaging the rubber stem.

    Chassis comparison

Unless they have changed this year, for that $11k upcharge for Spartan, you get an older version of the DEF head that has a higher failure rate. You also get an older version of the TPMS that has problems communicating with the sensors.

    TPMS Recommendation

On the way down to the Keys the outer tire on each side duals TPMS sensor stopped broadcasting or the Spartan computer stopped receiving a signal!!?? here is one side failed, shortly later the other outside tire failed

    Nitrogen in tires

Only one I know that likes extremes is Neal! And that ain't several times a day! Still freezing to warm tires, well maybe hot (standard TPMS) reading, create conditions where nitrogen would be beneficial.

FYI On a recent trip a Valve stem on the tow failed

I have been researching this as I have read that having metal valve stems is better for the sensors used by a tpms. How do metal valve stems work if the toad has a tpms on the vehicle?

    TPMS Recommendation

...save me from a catastrophe one time, when the aux brake locked up for some unknown reason, without giving any indication in the cockpit. The TPMS heat-alarmed on the tires, saving me a brake job and probably a wreck. So I can recommend using TPMS, but not necessarily EEZtire, although I...

Question 2023 DS FL, adding TPMS to towed vehical

I looked into adding factory tire pressure sensors to my Wrangler. I called Freightliner (FL) today and was told I would need to go to a FL service center, I asked do they work on Jeeps and she said no, she then provided the phone number to SpartanLync Technologies customer service...

    Tire pressures experience

...caused the rears to always be high on pressure and temp. I raised the rear to 95 psi, temp problem went away but still had high pressure because TPMS set at 85. Recent trip to Spartan, had them reset the rear TPMS to 95 and my problems went away. When I can I will get a 4 corner weight and go...

    Tire pressure

...issues. A year or so later, traveling solo to NYC, the Towed suffered a similar fate but on a standard new rubber valve stem. Luckily the TPMS alerted me to the low Towed tire and I was able to get it repaired. Immediately changed the rubber stems for metal valve stems used on competition...

FYI On a recent trip a Valve stem on the tow failed

Several TPMS suppliers recommend using metal valve stems.
