    Neighbors

If I might suggest, don’t treat this as a win-lose situation. That sets up a pretty toxic environment since no one likes to be “defeat[ed].” You might ask your neighbor if planting a decorative tree along the property line might help soften the view issue. Or, putting in a fence if there...

    Trains

We love trains of all sizes, model to full-size. I still have my 1950 American Flyer train set that I received as a Christmas present that year. And, it still works. We have also ridden trains across Spain, the full length of Taiwan and across the US. They are a fun way to travel and give...

    Question Gerrard awning noise

Are you talking about when you are stopped? Or, at 60 mph on the highway? Our awnings extend quietly in either mode. Sorry; after our recent experience, I couldn’t resist. :ROFLMAO: TJ

Something I had not thought about

Touch panels on the wall in various locations. We have them for both “day” and “night” shades. TJ

Something I had not thought about

Hmmmm. We don’t have a remote for the window shades in our 2018 Mountain Aire. Did we get shorted? Since we’ve never had one, it never occurred to us that there even was such a thing. Live and learn. TJ

    Neighbors

It depends on how much, or how little, you like your neighbors! Things like this can become major sticking points between neighbors. TJ

No Hot Water Coming Out Faucet?

Have you changed the position of ANY valves in the coach? My first guess is that the WH bypass valve somehow got changed. Next guess is a failed backflow preventer that has blocked the hot water side. I don’t know your specific coach, so these are just WAGs based on the symptoms. TJ

    which RV to buy

It is all about the numbers! Terms like "max towing package" mean absolutely nothing except to the salesman who is selling the truck. And, generic descriptions like "30 Ft trailer" are equally meaningless. You need real data to determine what you can safely tow! What does the fully loaded...

    1987 holiday Rambler imperial owner

Welcome to RVF; glad to have you here. Parts for older RVs can be a problem for sure; especially new parts. It is unlikely that you’ll find many new parts for a nearly 35-year-old coach. Things like windows can be custom fabricated, but that option won’t be cheap. Specialized parts for...

    SERVICE manuals

First, I’m assuming you are not looking for the owner’s manual; that’s readily available online. I think the big question here is “Did Tiffin ever produce a ‘service manual’ and/or ‘wiring diagrams’ for that year/model?” Since relatively few motorhome units are produced each year...

    Parking for beginners

I’m guessing that trailer was parked with a powered dolly. Good way to utilize an otherwise hard-to-use parking spot. TJ

Recall Hit the fuel rail leak recall trifecta today!

The recall notice from Cummins arrived in today’s mail. Last week, I got fuel rail leak recall notices from Newmar and Spartan. All referenced the same NHTSA recall No. 21E032. The big difference in the notice from Cummins is that it said they have developed a fix and to take the coach to...

Resolved Tire Size issues causing ABS fault

I have a hard time believing that a tire size change that small would affect the ABS system. I’m wondering if one of the magnetic sensors got knocked out of alignment or damaged during the tire change. And, it would seem that there should be a reset/calibration procedure on the system that...

    toyota rv

Welcome to RVF. I think you will find the 1988 Toyota Class C is significantly underpowered all by itself; towing anything with it is a non-starter. Sorry. TJ

MOD Custom rock guard from futuresalesrv.com

Why doesn’t it say “Newmar?” Or, at least, “Ventana?” What the heck is “RV FORUMS.COM?” Ohhhhhhhh, yeahhhhhhh; a little advertising for the forum. And, not a slice of pineapple to be seen! ;) TJ

    RV spaces

Unfortunately, it is the peak travel season and lots of folks are out in their RVs. Sorry that you aren’t finding anything. I thought Blue Sky RV Park might have an opening as it is a bit farther out (but still a pretty easy commute to Seattle). Not sure what else to suggest, but I’ll keep my...

    RV spaces

“Seattle” is a pretty big area. Are you looking to be close to downtown or somewhere north, south or east? Google “Issaquah RV Park.” Have you tried any of the three RV parks that will come up? Nothing fancy, but they are as close to Seattle as you will find. The Seattle area doesn’t have a...

    Darn, that’s pretty! TJ

    Park model electrical

Two comments. First, if you use AL cable, be sure to use AL-compatible connections. While I understand that AL is less expensive, I wouldn’t use it, but it is certainly your choice and not mine. Second, when I run cable that has even the slightest possibility of needing three conductors plus...
