BLOG Harvest Hosts gets competition from new lower-cost alternative

...RV Assoc (FMCA) yesterday about that membership. They are now a partner and FRVA members can join for $29.99 for the year. May have to check it out as the membership pricing is much more in line with something we would pickup. Harvest Hosts got too expensive to make it worth while for us.

Does anyone stay over nite in a rest stop.

...some rest areas are better catered to RV's, that would probably be fine but I'd make my best effort to use a campground, harvest host, or love's stop. I prefer to be safe. I've never done the walmart thing, Harvest Hosts in parking lots of restaurants/wineries are about as sketch as I want to...

Harvest Hosts buys Escapees RV Club

Harvest Hosts is NOT acquiring the mail service. Escapees is keeping that and some other assets.

BLOG Harvest Hosts gets competition from new lower-cost alternative

I just rejoined Harvest Hosts during their 30% off Memorial Day sale as I'm getting ready to set sail again soon. I like their system and growing number of options (stops), haven't looked at others, but it works well for overnights. I want to try golf courses this next time around so I can...

BLOG Harvest Hosts gets competition from new lower-cost alternative

We love Harvest Host it is still a good app to find nice and unique camping areas. We have stayed at vineyards (some of our favorites) they are typically very nice and quiet. We have used HH for museum, golf courses, Breweries and boondocking.

    Campgrounds in 2025

...the day of or one day before, and I'm pretty sure we haven't stayed in a full park. We've stayed in private parks, city parks, fairgrounds, COE, national forests, national parks, Elks Lodges, Harvest Hosts, Home Depot, Wally World, and a church. Other than the costs, it's back to pre-COVID...

Mexico Beach Florida-Considering hosting a few rv's on our private land

One way to sample the business model is to sign up with Harvest Hosts, or one of the other share camping sites. You can charge a fee for electricity, and offer free boon docking. This will let you sample the business with little effort.

Tip Harvest Hosts Tips for RVers by RVers

I'm a big fan of Harvest Hosts and highly recommend it to take advantage of free one night stays at many great destinations such as wineries, farms, golf courses. To date I've stayed at various wineries and an apple orchard, sadly the apple orchard was off season otherwise I would have loaded up...

Harvest Hosts buys Escapees RV Club

It's only $179 if you want All Access, which is HH, BW, golf, etc and will now include Escapees. If you just want Escapees, it's $49.95. Or am I misunderstanding what you meant? :)

Alert Harvest Hosts price is going up to $99/year

I highly recommend joining Harvest Hosts. It will pay for itself in ONE use. Not only that it offers some great non RV park stays at wineries, orchards, golf courses, etc. sometimes with electricity, sometimes dry camping, maybe more. I've really enjoyed it, it's great for one nighters and saves...

What memberships would you suggest for a newbie?

I would definitely have Road Side Assistance and make sure there is a tow clause. A Good Sam Account is worth it if you use enough GS Parks. We don't use Harvest Host so I can't help you there. I have had to have our old coach towed and I am glad I had the coverage. Having to tow a Motor...

Another unique Harvest Hosts stay. This time at the Park Place Drive-In theater in Marion VA for a two-night stay. No movie tonight, and no other RVs. Tomorrow…well, we’ll see what it brings.

I'm missing your point. Harvest Hosts also says you must buy product from your host facility. You make it sound like that is an option?
