...minimum level...at which time the inverter charger will go back to work. If you need to unplug for more than 24 hrs...consider auto gen start or adding solar or both... Do tankless water heaters work in Colorado?

Mine is gas/electric but we boondock often and solar/lithium can't keep up when running the fridge on 110 ac. Thus running on gas the elevation creates problems.

    Magnum inverter

BIM is critical. Make sure your inverter has a Li setting. They charge differently. SES in Nappanee did mine. Go to someone who isreputable and specializes in solar and Li. They should know all of the components that need to be changed. With Li you need to protect your alternator.

    Eco-trek questions

Hi! New members here— we are carefully considering the purchase of a 2015 e- trek, or Eco trek ( I’ve seen it both ways) with the solar PV unit. We wondered if any current or former members have pointers for what to look out for when looking at this model. Thanks so much!

    Question Solar install

I think it wonderful that people are going solar. I think ROI can, or could be, a reasonable expectation. But as long as the users are willing to go along with prices that don't reflect true value, people will continue to be ripped off. Whether that is due to a crafty sales force or...

    Question Solar install

Solar is also beneficial when in for service and not plugged in such as in the parking lot waiting on service. The main reason I got solar as my storage at the time didn't have power, but it's also a good learning experience to better understand electrical. Boondocking such as balloon fiesta and...

    Question Solar install

As I have had time to meditate on adding solar to the RV, based on our camping style and other considerations, and the excellent discussion on this Board, we are going to take a Pass this year. Until we have definite Boodocking plans it realistically does not make sense for us.

    Must haves for boondocking

I have not been hooked to shore power since November. I have a small class C. I built a solar birth that uses smaller amounts of electricity to heat and cool. I do have the 12 volt blankets as well👍. I use my water tank for bathroom only. I have 3 and 5 gal water jugs from walmart and one is...
